Me and the Kiddos - My Family

We are keeping the fun alive this summer. Trying to make memories, work on goals and be happy! Preferably together! My kids are exceptional people. Every summer I am reminded again of all their ins and outs of everyday, all day, and I get to see just a little better, how incredible they are. We're enjoying the moments, loud and quiet. The lazy days and sleep ins. It's all exhausting and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Love,
Mom.

Merry Christmas - My Family

Yesterdays snow day at home turned about a happy space in time to do these pictures I've been wanting/planing to do for months. I have realized that the light is so fleeting in the hours my children are home…… and Sunday's have been a needed day of rest…… so yesterday as I decided to keep them all home I immediately smiled, because I knew we would do this instead.
Admittedly it was much like many other times I have taken pics of my kids " I promise just ONE more" "We're almost done, just have fun with me". I did some without the lights too…. but the sparkling glow and those sweet smiles and giggles were too much to resist! I really have the best children. They are all so sweet in each their own way. They are making my holidays brighter this year, truly.

Love you kiddos.

Summer 2013 - My Kids

This past summer has been quite simply perfect! I tried to slow life down..... that giant force that seems to propel forward no matter what. I don't know that it worked entirely, the slowing down part, but life was a focus. Life with my kids, and my husband when time allowed. We started off our summer just me and the kids and a road trip! We drove and drove and drove. We spent time with family friends and then drove and drove and drove back.

I made a goal to not yell. I admit that I am a yeller. I have always raised my voice in frustration, as long as I remember. But I think that it's time that I grow up. Time that I control my childish fits and focus on the kids. let them yell when they need to and show them how they could do something else instead. This might possibly have been the best thing I've done yet. The response and progress that was/has been made is invaluable to me.

14 hrs of driving to get back home. The kids were burnt (swimming all day for 4 days straight) and I was outnumbered. But we were gonna have fun no matter the length of time. I must say the kids were perfect!! I've never had such well behaved children. Happy siblings playing lego for hours and colouring to hearts content. All that time and we only resorted to our technology for one movie. It was the best way to start our summer. It only got better from there.

The kids have started to show an interest in photography. So an interest they will explore. We stopped whenever we saw something beautiful....... or had to take yet another pee break. I took pictures and then passed the camera over with faith. Evan is getting to be just the right height, and skill. He has a great eye actually. I was so impressed with all the pictures he took of me. I can't tell you how cool it is to see my kids discover talents. I love my children. They are beautiful little people. They teach me.

Spring Hike - MY Family

This was a hike we took as a family back in the early spring. Before the flood. Some of this path is washed away and inaccessible. I loved this day. We started off with a little hike....wandered and took a few paths and ended up taking a much longer but enjoyable route. Vienna was the best trooper! Singing and happy all along the way. These kids have grown so much already this summer since these. I just want to hang on tight.

Halloween'12 - My Kids

Vienna really was the scariest of them all. That black wig, and makeup.... she looked 16 to me! So scary!!! Evan once again couldn't live without being something on the creepy side, so Zombie again it was. Seger loves to be handsome, so a knight was a perfect fit!! He looks so honourable! And Felix fit the tiger, so the tiger he was. I think he makes a pretty adorable roar! he is our loudest child anyways.
Another Halloween down and far too much candy to eat. 4 kids bring in quite the haul!! 2 superstore green bins to be exact, and we only did our little block! The kids did great even though it was freezing cold and snow on the ground. We did parties at school and a friends epic halloween party after school and I'm tired.
