Almost there!

WOW!! I don't even know how to respond to all of you! I am so glad that everyone seems to like, love, adore the quilt. I originally wanted to go on each individuals blog and post a comment and keep it all very human. However the entries are coming in so fast and furious that my poor kids would be orphaned if I tried to keep up that way! So instead I have decided to feed the kids, try and be humble, and not let this go to my head, and fold a bit of laundry so I don't lose focus all together! I will visit you all slowly after the contest and get around. It matters to me!
So a few of you have asked how I could give away that quilt, well here is your answer..... This one pictured here, all MINE! I made two and that makes this all a lot easier. I am in love with both as I see them sitting side by side though, and so luckily I have scraps and may just have to make another quilt in those yummy retro fabrics for the new baby!

The next common question was " How do I get the pattern if I don't win?" Well since there is currently over 1700 of you entered I suspect a few may need the pattern! I would be sooo abbliged to sell you the pattern!! I have my website in the works to receive orders, but until then Please fire off an e-mail to
elizabeth@lizzyanne.com
to place your order. I will Invoice you via paypal, it's the easiest for you and me and then once your funds are confirmed it will be mailed out to you!
The pattern is $12 retail or if you buy 3 or more $6 wholesale.
I am so excited to get this pattern out there! It has been such a labour of love, and my husbands patience! What a good man he is!
A reminder that the Contest will sadly be coming to an end Friday at 7pm Oct 17th
(I'm a little relieved, then I can start sorting through all these entries!)
This is the Andalucia fabrics by Patty Young for Micheal Miller. The line is debuting at Houston quilt market Oct 24th. Check your local quilts stores soon for her line, or even make a request!
It's amazing, the whole line all 24 fabrics! Definite must haves!

Because the volume of entries has been SO large, I am going to require some time to process them. After all I wouldn't want anyones extra entries to go unaccounted, but this is a thorough process! So if you all will kindly give me the weekend to tally our three lucky, (and with these odds I mean LUCKY, blessed, oh chosen ones) winners, that would be so great!!! And my children will thankyou.
So Winners will be announced at 10am on Mon the 20th of Oct.
I cannot wait to see who wins!!!!!!!!

REMEMBER if you are new here, to post on the GIVEAWAY post ABOVE for entry in the contest. Not on this post! Unless you just want to tell me something nice!
Thanks!

This quilt is lovely in this colourway too. The yellow one reminds me of a summer's day and this one reminds of a spring's day. Lovely both!

If I knew how to sew and had any talent in this direction I would very happily purchased the pattern, unfortunately, I even need help in threading my sewing machine's bobbin--can you say pathetic (LOL).

I can see why you like the pink. It almost makes it look like an entirely different pattern with the color change. You do very beautiful work!

Oh my goodness you are giving away that beautiful quilt. It is gorgeous! I sure would love to win it.
I have some old quilts top from my great great grandmother that I need to learn to do. They are incredible. I will have to share the pictures with you . They are from the late 1800's.
I am restoring an old Victorian and they will look wonderful in it one day.

Beautiful..either way you look at it!

I love the colors on that quilt, but I am a pink lover. My mom's house is the same way. She so many quilts she could wrap them completely around her two story house! She's funny about them though because she won't let any of them go. My brother and I both live out of state and that's too far away, so we get "visitation" of our quilts when we visit.

Katherine said...

Both are beautiful. The Yellow and Brown version is relaxing, and scerene. But this on is fun, young, and vibrant!! I Love it!!!
Thanks for sharing :)

I love the pink. So pretty. Both color choices are just lovely.

Sooooooo just wondering how much would you charge for your services to personalize a quilt for a family??? Just a random thought!!

Elaine said...

Be still my heart~ Even more lovely than the first! What a generous quilter you are! I've decided that I can too share the happiness, and if I win, I am going to gift the quilt (as much as I hate doing it) to a gal that is an exchange student from Vietnam who is SOOOOOOO amazingly appreciative of EVERY little and great thing that has passed her way. She will be staying with my friend/co-worker through the end of the year. I hope she gets it - even though I really really want it!

Your work is just breath taking. I hope to someday learn how to do this. I have never made a quilt but have always wanted to. Thank you so much for showing us your wonderful work and for giving away such a beautiful quilt. And to find the time to do all this with Children will God bless you.

Okay, I could gush all over this quilt, as well, but instead I'll gush over you. You are talented, beautiful and the mother of 3?! Your picture makes you look about 17. Surely you are not still 17? ;)

Glad you chose to feed your kids, fold the laundry and give your dear husband some of your precious attention. I'm sure they will happily give you some extra "quilt" time now that they are filled up with your food and love.

Have a great weekend!!!

i'm also impressed that even after designing the fabric, writing the pattern, sewing two quilts....... you still love the quilt!! sometimes when i'm done just making one i don't want to see it for a while.

congratulations on the new little one.

the pink one is pretty too! It's funny but I actualy prefer the yellow and brown one - I suppose personal taste really does matter!! I think that I said this before, but it's fab quilters like you that give me the inspiration to keep quilting!!

NaomiG said...

Wow, this one is gorgeous too! Normally I'm a curtain, clothing, rag quilt seamstress, but I've always said I want to quilt a real quilt, and your amazing art is definitely making me want to do it sooner rather than later! Gorgeous! My blog is new, and I don't currently have any of my sewing projects on there yet... hopefully this week. I hope you don't get to mine before that happens! :-)

When I learned about your lovely quilt from Cedar Chest blog, I popped right over and signed up. You were over a thousand comments at that time and I thought "wow, how fun"! So every once in a while I would pop back to see how many comments had been added. It got to be fun to see the number grow and grow and grow! How very cool for you to know that so many people love your quilt and it's design and fabric choices!!!

Wow The pink one is gorgeous too! For someone who does not quilt I would almost be willing to get the pattern and learn real fast like just to make myself one! Gorgeous!!!! I wonder if I could do a crochet or knitted version of this. I bet it would be great. Beautiful job!!

Lindi said...

This one is beautiful, too. I wouldn't be able to part with either of them, if I were you!
But they do show how versatile this pattern is - a completely different look each time! I'll definitely have to make it up in some of the fabrics I have in my stash. Even if I'm really, really lucky enough to win yours!

Both quilts are gorgeous, but I have to admit I like the scrappy background on the yellow and brown one. Or is that just the fabric? I'm partial to scrappy backgrounds with applique...

Well, I missed out on enterring the giveaway, but I thought I'd drop a line to say that I do love the quilt - and actually, I like the one you are keeping better anyway :)

Hooray, Hooray, it's almost Monday. I must say you really know how to place each piece of fabric in the right spot. You young quilters and all the new hip fabrics take quilting to a whole new level. Greaaaaat
job. I know it doesn't matter, however, I like the pink one best. :-)

Both color schemes are lovely. It would be very hard to decide to give one away. Enjoy your weekend. Hugs, B,

Do the raw edges eventually wear down if you wash these types of quilts too much? Did you serge all the edges on this one or just some of them?? Thanks.

Liz both quilts are so beautiful...and so different even though they are the same pattern....love them, I really do! Thanks for posting pictures, you are definitely one very talented girl.

Oh what great colors, no one you chose this one in the end. I am redoing my girls room, we did not find out what we were having, so they have had a gender neutral room for years. This quilt inspires me, I knew I had want pinks & greens, but the chocolate pops and much mor subtle than the black I was thinking. You have a great eye for color and I love the quilt, both of them.

I hope you had a great weekend and just stopping by to check out any new posts.
