I am giving away a quilt! Actual this quilt! I have been wanting to do this ever since I saw a quilt giveaway on Old Red Barn Co. I was so amazed with the generosity of Dana, and it just looked like so much fun!
So I am able to bring you my first Quilt giveaway. I hope that this is the first of many! I am especially excited about doing this because the pattern I used is mine! My very own! It's so exciting to be sharing it with all of you! The pattern is a Lizzy Anne original, and is titled "spring up"
This is my sample quilt. Done in fall colours, however my Version going to Houston Quilt market will be in an entirely different scheme. It looks great in both... and pics will come of that.
This quilt is a raw edge applique quilt. Which you can see in this pics above, means that the edges are all freyed and soft and cozy! It's already been washed twice, so it's ready to be loved!
This is a good sized quilt! It measures 70 x 100 a generous twin. or perfect for two to curl up in!
The quilting was done by a very talented lady Cathy Keevill of Black Bear Quilting and Pine Freckle Forest. See the post below for details on Cathy and her talent!
And because I know that only one person can win the quilt. Kinda sad for the rest of you. I will have a second and third place prize! I will be giving away the next best thing to a quilt for these two lucky runner ups! Their prize will be a copy of my pattern! to make their very own, or have made as the case may be!
The pattern has been tweeked a bit since I made this quilt... but only for the better. So you'll get to enjoy the very best version!

That quilt is beyond beautiful! Wow! I think it is so generous of you to give it to someone else to love! I adore the colors you chose and the applique design you created on it. It's gorgeous. A woman I don't know but who my mother interviewed, made a baby-sized quilt with very similar flowers and stems that has hung over the crib or changing table of two children. I just love it, and this one, too. Quilt-giving is such a special, sacred thing.

Such a beautiful quilt. If you are going to market you have to stop by Bear Thread Designs. It's my mom's booth and she does the fusible applique, but she also sells the Pine Needle Patterns by McKenna Ryan, a long time family friend. My mom has worked every quilt market and fest for nearly 15 years. I remember working them once I started college, definately inspiriational stuff there. Well have fun.

What a beautiful fall quilt! I love the yellow and brown combination, and especially the spiral detail of the stem!
If the quilt finds my way it will go to very good use since I live in a house with six roommates and we have yet to turn the heat on for the year! We've been quite a bundled up bunch this past week as the weather has started to get cooler.

How exactly do you choose the winner? This is my first time at a giveaway, and I am baffled that amazing people would do this! So if it's the quality of love for this SA-WEET quilt that you are looking for... a wicky wicky woo- wicky woo! I'd only say that if I truelly loved it. :) My daughter will stand on her head for as long as you want for it on her bed. She's nine. Anyway, first time to the blog first time with a giveaway and so far so good!

what a kick, I don't know if I should hope I win the quilt or if I hope the girl who's blog I read about it on wins it, that would be fair right? I love the raw edge appliques, that will be the next thing I teach my older girls how to do on their own quilts, so friendly! hope your show is great and you are a smashing success!

You really out did yourself with this beautiful quilt. I have always loved the cheerfulness of sunflowers. I would love to learn the craft of quilting someday and admire that you have done so.
