People are asking

It isn't all that uncommon for me to get comments when out with all of my kids at the mall, grocery store, or good ol wal-mart. I get alot of " Are they all yours!?" followed by " How old are you?" (thank you by the way). I also get alot of " Your Brave... I would never, if I had that many"

So yes, I do take all four kids under five, to the grocery store etc. But not always. I do also enjoy a trip to the store by myself when I can think clearly. Those would be the big shopping trips. You can only fit so much food with 3 kids in the cart and one on your chest. And yes we did have them close together. That makes them best friends (worst enemies) and great at entertaining one another. Having them so close also means that I could get my body back sometime in the future while I am still young. As far as being brave, well I guess I feel like I am some days! It does take some courage to go out and expect to get something accomplished with four kids. There are some times that it feels perfectly normal to do such things too. Whenever I go out (almost everyday) I am always glad I did, because it means that I CAN.

I tell friends that I do a 'Do or Die' trip in the first week after having a baby with all the kids. I make a trip out of the house to do what seems to be the impossible. After Evan it was go to wal-mart for a nursing bra at 4 days old. After Vienna...( I can't remember everything) After Seger I went to the mall at 5 days old. After Felix I went grocery shopping at 4 or 5 days old. I do this because chances are I will make it through, and once I have..... da,da,DA, I can do anything!! ( I still cry sometimes but that's healthy)

So here are some pics to enjoy of the crew, otherwise fondly known as the hooligans!

We currently have 3 kiddos under 4 and get the same thing. I too like having them close on most days - LOL!! Love the little pics of your kiddos - they are adorable - I do think that you are brave though - I see your boys wearing white pants in pic number one - AHHHH!!! LOL!

I guess there could be a chance that you're out with an array of your friends' children who are staggered in age just enough to fool on-lookers. Yup. After having one I think you and Kent are nuts, but I admire you to the moon and back!!! You really are an inspiration! Because you do it with 4, I know I'll be able to do it with one. What will happen one day when we have 4 (if we ever get that far), I dunno. I guess you'll just have to up it to 7 or something.

Vienna's hair is soooo long! I love Seger's smile in the first picture. If he smiles any harder, he's going to poop his pants! In every picture of Evan it's evident that he's a tender-hearted little guy. If we ever have a son, I hope he's a lot like Evan.

Love you Liz!

They are so adorable! It is amazing what you CAN do when you need to do it. You do what you have to do and you can either enjoy it or hate it. Hopefully we will always enjoy it! Keep up the great attitude.

The thing I live about your blog is that I read it and yes I think, she's amazing. She's pretty, super talented, has a great family and seems to just have life by the reins. But I never leave feeling bad about myself for not doing the same, I really feel inspired! Thanks for being one of those people who doesn't feel guilty about being your best self and letting your light shine, because it inspires me to be a little more positive and to try and let my own light shine.

You've always been an inspiration to me, even when you had one and I had three! I'm always marveling at how you handle it all with such grace Liz. Your kids always look impeccable, your house is immaculate, and you always look beautiful. You SUCK! ROTFL Just kidding :)

I'm terrified to be welcoming #5 in December, I wish I could count on being like you - sadly I'm not your clone. Could you send one over?

Love you and loved being at the blessing yesterday! Felix was precious and it was a honor to be able to witness such a special event. XO
