Amy Butler quilt
As much as I love Amy Butler fabrics, I actually hadn't sewed with them myself yet. Well the day has come! I made this little baby quilt for my niece Lucy. I think it turned out so cute and fresh. I was so pleased with the smattering of colours and pattern all together. It's simple but I figured the fabric was doing a lot of the talking already. The fabric Yo-yo's were so fun to make up and simple all things considered once I got going. I added a few raw fussy cut flowers as well to punch up in places here and there. I also have to say I LOVE the scrunchie-ness of a washed and worn quilt! It just looks so much more cozy!

Can't believe your skills, ELizabeth! You take a simple patchwork layout of fabric and turn it into something special and unique- Lucy's a lucky girl!
